A dab of eyeliner and a touch of mascara are beautiful makeup additions on the lower lashes to create a more balanced appearance for an otherwise top heavy look with longer and thicker extension lengths and widths. It is never advised to use waterproof mascara or other makeup as they absolutely destroy the eyelashes making them brittle and very short. As mentioned in a previous blog entry, it is possible to apply lower eyelash extensions, however, because this process requires the eye to be open, a special, fume free ‘sensitive eye’ formula of adhesive must be used which has a very short duration, maybe a week tops. In so being, most clients feel that the time, expense and relative discomfort in getting bottom lid eyelash extensions simply isn’t worth it.
Though, it is considered a legitimate style in the makeup world, to have dramatic upper lid makeup and bare bottom lids for a super wide-eyed appearance, most women feel more comfortable with symmetry and it is easy to take a minute or two to apply a little shadow liner and a few strokes of water soluble mascara to the bottom lashes.
Remember to always use ONLY fragrance free Neutrogena bar or liquid soap to remove any makeup and when cleaning your extensions, never directly rubbing the lashes with your fingers, rather just gently massaging the upper lid with the pads of your fingers followed by warm , never hot, clean water rinse, and using a cup or letting the shower water land first on your forehead and then trickle down through the lashes rinsing away any lather, as direct shower spray might be too rough.
Neutrogena is essentially pure glycerin which will not dry out the adhesive, which would cause it to become brittle, and it is not loaded with any filmy emollients which could laminate and coat the lashes making them sticky or waxy and unsuitable for fill work during your next visit. Follow up with your lash brush, and use a clean makeup wedge or the pad of your finger to dab any excess moisture away from your lashes, but do not use towels or cotton balls which have lint that can collect in your lashes, and also fibers which can snag and grab your lashes. The adhesive is amazingly durable and there is no need to ‘walk on eggshells’ with lash extensions, but these little tips will help you get the maximum wear between fills which makes it much easier on your schedule and pocket book in the long run!.

I still don’t know how you were able to get such a thin line in my lashes. I am loving my eyeliner.

It’s true that if you have ever had a cold sore or fever blister – even if you were only 5 years old the last time you had one – you better get your Zovirex or Valtrex Rx from a doc before getting your lips done. I learned my lesson after the first procedure and lost some pigment, but at Everlasting Beauty, I was able to the missing areas filled in, and now my lips are flush with healthy, rosy color, and it looks like it is just part of my own skin.

Years before I came to Everlasting Beauty, I had my brows done, and whatever the lady used to numb it didn’t work. It was like torture, and I almost couldn’t finish the procedure. But at my free consultation, the CPCP at Everlasting Beauty suggested I have my doctor’s office call in a prescription for generic EMLA cream at the pharmacy before I got my brows’ color retouched, and I barely felt a thing. The difference was night and day.

I found Everlasting Beauty permanent makeup clinic years ago for a color correction for brows that had faded after seven years, and I couldn’t find the original lady who did them. I chose her because her credentials and continuing education in her field set her apart from everyone else in the area who is doing permanent cosmetics. I recommend her to anyone, near or far.

I am from Redding, but I still chose Everlasting Beauty because of the credentials and extensive training attained by the CPCP. It was worth the drive.
